O2 vs CO2 campaign launch

Today we launched our new campaign, O2 vs CO2, to highlight O2’s sustainability credentials and spread the word on Earth Day.

Our name is inspired by the air we breathe, so it’s probably no surprise that we care about the environment!

I’m proud that we’re the only mobile network operator set to be net zero by 2025 and that we’ve produced our greenest ever media plan, including:

- A media first partnership with Spotify — offsetting the carbon footprint of all our audio activity with nature based solutions
- Outdoor posters are covered with pollution removing spray — estimated to remove emissions from approx 70,000 cars as they pass by
- Digital outdoor is powered by 100% renewable electricity and like our network powers down at night to save energy

Making choices like this is all part of how brands can positively use their position and spending power for good.

O2’s robot character Bubl looks like a window cleaner and wipes the C off CO2 leaving the O2 more prominent.
